The leaders of Malta, Spain, Ireland and Slovenia met together at the marinas of the European Council to discuss the latest developments related to Gaza and the Middle East.
The four countries agreed that the two-state solution is crucial for peace in the area and are thus ready to recognise Palestine as a state when the conditions for the establishment of this same state is permitted.
The countries also agreed that there should be an immediate ceasing to conflict, that all hostages should be released and that humanitarian aid is immediately given.
They also positively noted how the council agreed with the conclusions about the conflict in the Middle East.
