A major hit wave named ‘Cerebrus’ is currently wreaking havoc across parts of Europe, particularly in Southern regions. The forecast for the next few days indicates an alarming surge in temperatures, breaking previous records.
BBC News reports that Spain, France, Greece, Croatia, and Turkey are among the countries expected to endure scorching temperatures reaching up to 40°C. Tragically, the heat has already taken its toll in Italy, with reports of people collapsing and one unfortunate death.
In Malta, the local weather page ‘It-Temp Madwarna’ predicts that this heat wave will likely be the first and potentially only one of the summer, with temperatures expected to rise significantly on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th July.
The name ‘Cerebrus’ comes from the three-headed monster featured in Dante’s Inferno.
