On Saturday morning, thousands of Maltese residents once again woke up to the earthquake conversation, with a string of seismic activity sweeping the Maltese Islands and a number of other areas.

According to local weather page ‘Aġġornament tat-temp’, a total of four earthquakes took place, with the strongest one taking place after midnight at a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter Scale.

The post went on to state that no one can predict earthquakes, but what is certain is that we have never experienced seismic activity such as this. It went on to state that one must understand what is happening, not in fear, but by being alert of what is taking place around them.

Notable seismic activity taking place in the Mediterranean has been felt across the Maltese Islands over the past few months, with no reports of serious consequences.

Did you feel any of the seismic activity?

Musk’s Twitter starts removing verified blue ticks for notable figures

Musk's Twitter starts removing verified blue ticks for notable figures
Apr 21 2023 Share

Justin Bieber. Kim Kardashian. Bill Gates. Hillary Clinton. Even Twitter founder Jack Dorsey.

Elon Musk’s has started to remove the famed blue verified ticks for those who refused to pay up to keep their account verified. They could only get them back by paying anywhere between $8 and $11 per month.

Musk of course bought Twitter for $44 million back in October and has been trying to boost the platform’s revenue by pushing people to purchase the premium subscription.

The removal of ticks came as SpaceX’s launch saw a rocket explode shortly after lift—off. The memes were of course boundless, as many took the opportunity to pick on Musk, who is never too far from social media drama.

The removal of ticks has also started to spawn fake accounts, with people impersonating celebrities and otherwise reliable sources.
