On Saturday morning, thousands of Maltese residents once again woke up to the earthquake conversation, with a string of seismic activity sweeping the Maltese Islands and a number of other areas.
According to local weather page ‘Aġġornament tat-temp’, a total of four earthquakes took place, with the strongest one taking place after midnight at a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter Scale.
The post went on to state that no one can predict earthquakes, but what is certain is that we have never experienced seismic activity such as this. It went on to state that one must understand what is happening, not in fear, but by being alert of what is taking place around them.
Notable seismic activity taking place in the Mediterranean has been felt across the Maltese Islands over the past few months, with no reports of serious consequences.
Did you feel any of the seismic activity?
