Rodrick Zerafa, Chief Executive of European Services in Malta, has been appointed as the Government Representative on the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD).

In a statement following the appointment, Zerafa said: “Appointed as the Government Representative on the MCESD – Malta Council for Economic and Social Development to continue strengthening social dialogue in our country. Thanks to Parliamentary Secretary Andy Ellul and the Office of the Prime Minister for their trust.”

Former Malta international goalkeeper and local councillor Justin Haber has announced his resignation from the Floriana Local Council.

The decision followed a meeting with Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Alex Agius Saliba. In a brief statement, Haber confirmed that the meeting led to his decision to step down.

“I am doing this out of respect and loyalty towards the Labour Party and towards those who elected me last June,” he said.
