Local Podcaster Files Report Over Woman’s Claims Of Pastor Healing Cyst

Local Podcaster Files Report Over Woman's Claims Of Pastor Healing Cyst
Apr 9 2024 Share

Local podcast host Sayan Cassar took to social media recently to raise concerns over a recent video which made rounds online of a woman who claimed that River of Love Pastor Gordon Manche had cured her cyst.

Sayan, who hosts a podcast related to the paranormal and other related subjects, posted a video urging anyone who needs medical assistance to seek professional help from a doctor and not a pastor.

The woman detailed how whilst attending a conference, she received healing after the pastor sent out prayers to a person in the crowd who had a cyst.

She claimed that she went home and checked under her arm and found that the cyst had been cured, with her husband reportedly confirming the same miracle.

Sayan urged that the pastor is playing with people’s psyches and that this is dangerous, potentially stopping people from seeking medical assistance. He went on to tag Superintendent for Public Health Charmaine Gauci, saying that he filed a report with the health authorities.

This is not the first time a congregant of River of Love has claimed to been healed by the pastor’s prayers, with another recently claiming to have been healed from haemorrhoids.

Taking to social media, photographer and digital creator Daniel Cilia shared a photograph he managed to snap of Sicily’s Mount Etna from behind the Great Siege Bell of Fort St Angelo in Vittoriosa.

The photo was taken yesterday morning at 06:20am from the roof of a boutique hotel in Senglea.

‘When some years ago I did the photography for ‘The Snop House’ – a small but beautiful hotel decorated with beautiful contemporary art – in the centre of Senglea, I realised that from its roof Etna rose exactly behind Fort St Angelo’, explained Cilia.

‘I asked its creator and owner Olivier Plique if I could access the roof yesterday morning when the horizontal visibility was more than 70km.’

‘I was on the roof by 5.30 am and it was worth it!’

Marisa Abela attended the London premiere of the Amy Winehouse biopic “Back to Black” in a stylish black halter neck dress with a fishtail train, accentuating her figure.

She posed on the red carpet alongside actor Jack O’Connell, who plays Amy’s widower Blake Fielder-Civil in the film. The event also featured director Sam Taylor-Johnson and actor Eddie Marsan, who portrays Amy’s father Mitch Winehouse.

The biopic, endorsed by Mitch Winehouse, has faced criticism from Amy’s friends for its depiction of her struggles with drug addiction and even filming her funeral.

Blake Fielder-Civil, Amy’s ex-husband, admitted to introducing her to heroin and expressed regret over their relationship dynamics, feeling he could have changed the outcome if circumstances had been different.

In emotional scenes from the film’s trailer, Amy expresses desires beyond her music career and laments her childlessness before her untimely death at 27. The movie has sparked controversy for its portrayal of Amy’s personal struggles, with some calling it tasteless and urging to let Amy rest in peace.
