Local Photographer Captures Moment Of Neil’s Arrival

Local photographer Jeremy Debattista captured a historic moment as it happened – Neil Agius arriving in Għar Lapis after having just broken a record he himself set after swimming the Maltese islands.

The black-and-white photos show Neil coming up the ladder and sitting down to finally rest after having just spent 3 days in the sea.

The distance is set to be set at around 144km, with the ultra-endurance athlete explaining that, despite feeling not so bad the morning after, he could not really sleep due to the pain he experienced post-swim.

Neil also thanked his entire team in the statement, saying that without them none of this would have been possible.

Hundreds gathered in Għar Lapsi to greet Neil and show an immense level of support for the historic achievement.

The Real-Life Love Story Behind Mickey and Minnie Mouse

Wayne Allwine and Russi Taylor, the beloved voices behind Disney’s iconic Mickey and Minnie Mouse, lived a love story as enchanting as the characters they portrayed. After years of voicing the famous duo, the pair fell in love in real life, marrying in 1991.

Allwine, who became the voice of Mickey in 1977, and Taylor, who voiced Minnie from 1986 until her death in 2019, met while working on a television special. Their romance blossomed after both ended their previous marriages, and they remained inseparable until Allwine’s death in 2009. Taylor passed away a decade later in 2019.

Their relationship, praised by co-stars for its authenticity and warmth, brought an extra spark to their performances as Mickey and Minnie. Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy, noted that their real-life love translated into their work, giving the characters a unique depth and charm.

While they kept much of their personal life private, Allwine and Taylor’s devotion to each other and their iconic roles remains a cherished part of Disney’s history, with fans celebrating their legacy and love story to this day.

Neil Agius’ 1st Comments After Record Breaking Swim

Neil Agius has released his first official statement following his record breaking swim around the Maltese islands.

With a distance of around 144km, Neil returned to shore yesterday evening after having launched into the water on Saturday morning. That’s three days of swimming non-stop.

Neil explained that he couldn’t really sleep throughout the night due to the pain, with ulcers filling the inside of his mouth.

He however thanked his entire team for their very important role they placed in his achieving of the record.

Neil was greeted by hundreds of people in Għar Lapsi as he concluded the race and broke a record he himself had already set.
