The Most Googled Sex Questions In 2023

The Most Googled Sex Questions In 2023
Dec 31 2023 Share

These were some of the most googled sex related questions during the year 2023.

‘What is speed bump sex position?’

Going viral on TikTok, this is reportedly a variation on doggy style. Being touted as a Love Island favourite for one contestant, it involves having a person ‘led face down instead of on their knees, with a pillow underneath their hips to raise their pelvis’.

‘What does non-binary mean in a relationship?’

It is typically understood as a relationship that doesn’t abide by the typical gender binary.

The third was ‘What is ethically non-monogamous?’, followed by ‘what does exclusive mean in a relationship?’

The former involves two people who identify as a couple but who are not committed to a traditional relationship (as per CNN).

The latter simply means that both partners agree to focus on each other and not see other people.

Other questions included:

‘Is it safe to have sex when pregnant?’ – Short answer, yes. Unless complications are pointed out by professionals.

‘What is sex positivity?’ – An open and tolerant attitude towards sex and sexuality.

‘How many calories are burned during sex?’ – Some studies suggest 3 to 4 calories per minute. However, sex on average lasts 5 to 6 minutes, adding up to around 21 calories.

‘How many dates before having sex?’ – Depends on the person’s goals and ideas around sex. Communication is key.

Advice related to sex and sexuality should ALWAYS be vetted with professionals.

Taking to social media, Opposition leader Bernard Grech celebrated his son Neil Grech’s 25th birthday.

Writing in verse, he recounted how 25 years ago, he held him close for the first time and promised to be there for him, teach him, love him and support him.

‘However’, said the Nationalist Party leader, ‘you taught me to love more, to be more responsible, to plan more, to be more emphatic, to hear more and to understand more.’

‘I still admire you 25 years later. I am still proud of you and I celebrate being together. I still feel lucky to have gotten to know you.’

‘When I see you sad, I feel my chest stiffen. When I see you smile, I leap with joy. Every hug is a gift, even if it is from afar. Keep loving and thank you for being yourself, Neil’, he concluded.
