Local designer Gaetano goes shirtless for mental health awareness campaign

May 26 2023 Share

Tackling the theme of awareness, local fashion designer Gaetano posted a striking photo on his Haus Of Gaetano page, addressing the topic of men’s mental health.

In the caption, Gaetano wrote that name-calling has been commonplace throughout his career. He went on to state that because he is a man, many may think that he wouldn’t care, but the reality is that these words can break a person.

The accompanying photo, taken by Vince Bonello Pukka, featured a shirtless Gaetano with words & phrases like ‘fat’, ‘Buddha’, ‘dirty’, ‘go on a diet’, ‘pig’ and more written across his body.

“A man can also have tough times, a man can also be conscious, a man can also get hurt, a man can also be broken, a man can also feel. Do not remain silent. Speak. Search for help. You are important.”

Followers of designer shot to the comments to congratulate the designer for the way he exhibited the powerful message, congregating in agreement with Gaetano.

Maltese Olympian and resident weightlifting champion Yazmin Zammit Stevens has made it onto the front page of British fitness apparel brand Gymshark’s website… and she’s over the moon.

With an accumulated 8 million followers on Instagram and Facebook and a valuation of over €1 billion, being featured on the brand’s home page is quite an impressive feature for Malta’s champion.

That being said, Zammit Stevens boasts quite an impressive following of her own, telling her 208,000 Instagram followers that she was freaking out at the idea of being on the website’s front page.

The weightlifter first announced her partnership with Gymshark back in October 2021, stating that representing such a big global brand is something the never thought would become a reality.

Kudos Yaz!

Following her exit from the villa, former Love Island contestant Sabrina Grima has clarified why she really left the villa amid national speculation.

The 33-year-old wrote that she decided to leave the villa because she wanted to regain her normal routine and “wasn’t accustomed to having so much free time.”

Grima also addressed the fact that she didn’t feel a strong connection with anyone inside the villa, only friendship, so she took the decision to create space for others to pursue a romantic relationship rather than a friendship.

She went on to thank Malta for following her during her time at the villa and for their love and support.

Sabrina was the first to leave the villa, following Andriy’s entry as the first bombshell before her and Soulayma & Shanise as the first two female bombshells after her. Her former pairing, Kyle, has been re-coupled with Marie-Christine.
