Hibernians scored the only goal of the game in the 69th minute. The goal was a brilliant volley from outside the box, scored by experienced center-back Andrei Aguis. The goal meant that the Maltese side cannot lose by a 2-goal margin in Malta in order to qualify for the Playoff.

The Hibernians players will be up for the match, as no Maltese team has ever passed to the playoff round of a European competition. Hibernians will most likely face Slovan Bratislava after they beat Gibraltar side Lincoln Red Imps, 3-1 in Gibraltar. If the Maltese side reach the playoff, they will only be 2 matches away the group stage of a European competition, where they can face major football clubs like Tottenham Hotspurs, AS Roma and Celtic.

Hibernians will be playing their next leg against Riga next Thursday the 12th of August. We wish Hibernians a big good luck for their next leg in Malta.

Enemalta took to Facebook to state that Marsascala’s power cuts were the result of two developing faults on a cable leading to the village, with emergency works conducted soon after. Individuals from across the island have express their frustration on Malta’s current state with regards to power cuts and await a sense of stability as scorching summer temperatures continue to ramp up.

Moto GP legend Valentino Rossi will retire at the end of the season

Aug 6 2021 Share

Nine-time MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi will retire at the end of the season. The driver announced the news in a press-conference before this weekend’s Styrian Grand Prix, he also stated that “Next year, my life will change.” The Italian driver will now focus taking care of his own MotoGP, Sky Racing Team VR46 which ride in the Moto2 division.

This year, the driver is unfortunately suffering his worst ever beginning to a season. Right now he is sitting in 19th place in the Championship, his highest finish to a race this year was 10th. The driver has  been driving in the MotoGP series for 25 years now, making his debut in 1996. Next season will be weird for many MotoGP fans, as the last time Valentino Rossi wasn’t in a MotoGP season most fans were still either young or not born yet.
