Local B-Boys Represent Malta In Italy

Maltese break dancers Liston Bongailas and Brady Frendo travelled to Italy to represent the local scene in a dance battle together.

Liston, the teacher, and Brady, the pupil, both of whom are Hip Hop rappers, dancers and artists, took to the dance floor to face their challengers.

Liston is the founder of Street Elements, a school that teaches kids of all ages the art of breaking (colloquially called ‘breakdancing’) as well as other elements of Hip Hop culture such as rap.

The Malta Police Force took to social media to announce that 37 new Malta Police Force recruits have embarked on their Basic Training Course at the Academy for Disciplined Forces in Ta’ Kandja.

‘This intensive training program, which leads to a Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Basic Training for Police Constables (MQF Level 4), is a key milestone for these individuals as they work towards their ultimate goal of serving the community as Police Constables.’

‘Everyone is a star and deserves a chance to shine’, wrote Brincat – and shine they did!

The staff walked down the red carpet dressed in their classiest and elegant clothes, all for a good cause!

Minister Grima Urges Calm As Schools Hit By Bomb Threats

Taking to social media, Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima addressed the bomb threat reports hitting schools around Malta this morning.

‘I understand the worry of parents and families after reports of threats related to a number of schools’.

‘As a father, this impacts me as well, but we must remain calm and continue to follow the guidance of authorities.’

‘I want to thank the disciplined forces on such days. On such a day, one truly appreciates the central role they play in society.’

This comes after Naxxar’s Higher Secondary was hit by bomb threats as well as schools in Sliema, Pieta, St Julian’s and Hamrun.
