After being involved in an altercation with 50-year-old Des Keogh back in 2019, Conor McGregor has allegedly purchased the bar in which the confrontation took place. He then proceeded to bar the man from the bar, making McGregor’s purchase of this bar slightly more special than his other establishments. McGregor took to Twitter to announce the purchase, adding ‘Ye, and your mans barred’.

Footage released in 2019 showed how the incident occurred, with McGregor striking the 50-year-old after he refused to take a drink from McGregor’s own Proper No.12 whiskey twice. McGregor later admitted to assaulting the man in court, and apologised, being fined €1000 (£860).

Superintendent for Public Health Charmaine Gauci has also revealed in a COVID-19 bulletin yesterday that there are currently no cases of the virus in the Gozo General Hospital. Accompanied by the decrease in cases overall, this is a positive sign of the health measures in place and the vaccine roll out system which is still ongoing.
