Liquorish Contestants Emotional Seeing Kids In Poverty
Jul 6 2023 Share

As Liquorish contestants continued their journey through Panama, they got the opportunity to meet, interact and even share a few laughs with kids and civilians living in poverty in one of the cities they visited.

The experience made them visibly emotional, with contestant Elyse breaking into tears as she processed what she was going through.

She told the camera crew that ‘we’re very privileged’ and ‘lucky’ to be living the comfortable lifestyle. She said that in travelling she got the chance to see how not everyone has the chance to live in the same ‘standard’ we’ve gotten used to.

Elyse felt extremely grateful for the opportunity to help through Liquorish, especially the kids living in the country.

Peppi Azzopardi Urges More Awareness On Suicide

Peppi Azzopardi Urges More Awareness On Suicide
Jul 6 2023 Share

Taking to social media, Xarabank host Peppi Azzopardi shared a video discussing the taboos surrounding suicide and how he is worried of the apparently increasing stories of the phenomenon in Maltese society.

He began his appeal by reminding people of Kim Borg Nicolas Virtu, who died in prison via suicide after having been tormented in the Corradino Correctional Facility under a previous administration.

He said that we haven’t heard of a single suicide after the administration changed because the inmates are treated with more dignity and their concerns are looked after better.

He said that in the world outside the prison, we have the means to do so even better, but that we are still hearing about cases of suicide nonetheless.

He urged people to listen to each other and to be able to talk to others whenever they pass comments about harming themselves. He urged us to look at possible signs, educating ourselves about mental health first aid and, if we’re the ones thinking about suicide, reaching out to the various organisations which offer support to those suffering.

That’s right – you can now get married with McDonald’s recently launched wedding package which includes 100 boxes of McNuggets.

Well, not if you’re in Malta unfortunately, but who knows, maybe it’ll reach our shores eventually as we Maltese love a good wedding!

The fast food giant’s Indonesian capital city of Jakarta outlets announced a $200 wedding plan for those who wish to have the brand cater for their special day.

“McD’ers, let’s make the wedding moment more memorable with the Wedding Mekdi package,” reads a post on the official McDonald’s Indonesian Instagram account. “Available various other exciting package options with a minimum order of 200 pcs.”

This might make a massive hit and eventually move into other countries, and we sure do hope our little Mediterranean island could see McNuggets fill our wedding tables.

Would you have your wedding catered by McDonald’s?
