Argentinian global star Lionel Messi has broken yet another record with Inter Miami, this time becoming the first player to register 5 assists in one single game in the MLS.
To add the cherry on the cake, Messi also managed to score a goal along with his five assists meaning that he contributed to every goal scored in Miami’s resounding, 6-2 win over New York Red Bulls.
This season, Messi coupled with former Barcelona teammates Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, has dominated American soccer currently leading the eastern conference table with 24 points.
The game not only highlighted Messi’s brilliance but also the goal scoring prowess of Luis Suarez who managed to bag his first ever hattrick with Miami since joining last summer.
Inter Miami, owned by superstar David Beckham, with the help of Lionel Messi will hope to win their first ever MLS this season.
