Familiar faces from both seasons attended the event – seeing season 1’s Kyle, Marie Christine and Nate mingling along with Kyra, Vanessa, Jake and Alessandro.

The islanders of course did not pass the opportunity to snap a couple of photos together, making for one informal crossover episode.

It’ll be a while before all the contestants could be able to meet up under one roof as the second season is still ongoing, entering its third week of villa drama.

Animal lovers in Valletta were joined by thousands around the world on Sunday, to commemorate THE 14th NATIONAL ANIMAL RIGHTS DAY, in events held in over 160 major cities worldwide.

With events taking place everywhere from Los Angeles to Copenhagen, from Frankfurt and London to Paris and Hong Kong, Manila, the activities aim to raise awareness on the exploitation of non-human animals by, and for the gain of, humans.

The activities kicked off with a march from St. Georges Square leading up to Triton fountain, followed by a public requiem Ceremony in which individuals stood in unified formation cradling the pictures of animals who died as a result of human abuse and exploitation.

These posters, including chickens, pigs, cats, dogs, goats, birds, and many others, will then be arranged on the side as a tomb by the participating activists.

During the event, The Declaration of Animal Rights was proclaimed, and signed.

Newly Married Maltese Couple Break Largest Cake Record

The Malta Records just certified a new local record which saw the largest wedding cake prepared by a Maltese couple, Alicia and Adrian Xiberras.

The cake was confirmed to be 2 metres and 10 centimetres tall and with a circumference of 3 metres and 54 centimetres. The cake was also adorned with LED lights in celebration of the couple’s new life together.

And the achievement of the record makes sense as Alicia herself runs a ‘Cakes ’n’ Bakes’ business, specialising in creating variously themed cakes for all manner of event.

Congratulations to both on your record – and on your wedding of course!
