KSI, 31, known for his massive online following and recent ventures into music and boxing, will be filling in for regular judge Bruno Tonioli, who is heading to the US to join the panel of Dancing with the Stars. KSI will take the judge’s seat for three out of five days during the first round of BGT auditions this month.
The show’s producers are eager to tap into KSI’s reach of 80 million followers, many of whom are young and tech-savvy – a key demographic for the globally popular talent show. A TV insider commented, “KSI’s influence is expected to draw in a younger audience, boosting the show’s online presence and engagement.” BGT clips have garnered an astounding 24 billion views worldwide, while KSI’s music alone has been streamed 2.7 billion times.
KSI shared his excitement, saying, “I’m thrilled to be a guest judge on BGT. I’ve always loved watching the show, and I can’t wait to see the fresh new talent.”
