Konrad Mizzi refuses to testify; calls Caruana Galizia inquiry a ‘charade’

 - Local - Nov 26 SHARE ON:

Reports have revealed that former minister Konrad Mizzi refuses to testify in the Caruana Galizia public inquiry and went on to call it a politicised “charade”.

Mizzi was due to testify on Friday after being removed from his position and minister and from the Labour Party in the past few months due to Mizzi’s connection with the Panama Papers and 17 Black.

The former minister found issue with his relevance in this case and said that it makes little sense for him to testify in front of two PN members.

Obama wants Drake to play him in his biopic

 - Celebrities - Nov 26 SHARE ON:

Back in 2012, superstar rapper Drake had stated that he hopes that someone makes a movie about Obama and cast Drake to play the former President of the US.

8 years later, Barack Obama answered his question and said that the Canadian has the Obama household’s stamp of approval, going on to say that his 2 daughters Malia and Sasha would be ‘just fine with it’.

We suspect that this dream match-up is far from going into production but when it does, we’ll be the first to book tickets.

Here’s a little mashup of the two for your viewing pleasure:

On the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women, Appoġġ director Remenda Grech reported 400 new cases of domestic violence, with the majority of which being women between 40 and 44 years of age, and 170 of them being granted free legal aid.

Many women are being provided shelter in various government facilities where they can share their traumatic experiences of abuse, with the Għabex centre alone welcome 23 women this year and 52 women, 24 children and 2 dogs in 2019.

CEO for the Foundation for Social Services, Alfred Grixti, encouraged anyone going through abuse to reach out for help rather than suffer in silence because help is available.

Napoli to rename San Paolo stadium after Maradona

 - Celebrities - Nov 26 SHARE ON:

The world is in mourning after the loss of football legend Diego Maradona and Naples look to immortalise the life of the icon by renaming their ‘San Paolo’ stadium after Maradona.

Naples mayor Luigi de Magistris has stated that it will be a quick and easy process due to the world’s desire and love for the legend and that they have already started the process.

The Argentinian star had led Napoli to its only two Serie A wins in 1987 and 1990 and it is appropriate that the city would want to permanently celebrate the life of the individual.
