Konrad Mizzi admitted to hospital

Former Minister Konrad Mizzi was admitted to hospital yesterday, just before he was expected to continue testifying in front of the Public Accounts Committee.

The committee is analysing the report of the Auditor General which is investigating the gas power station contract. Reports in the Times are stating that the former Minister was admitted to hospital on Tuesday.

His condition is reportedly serious and will need to remain in hospital for several days. He has already appeared twice in front of the parliamentary committee.

Th Malta Football Association posted to social media, stating ‘jubilant moments followed this terrific win for the boys’. The snapshot captured the ecstatic post-match vibe of the players, coaches and rest of staff. Well done all!

PN welcomes new graduates at HQ with celebrations and beer pong

After a pandemic of waiting, the newly graduates have been welcomed by the Nationalist Party at their head quarters to organise celebrations. The graduates embraced their well deserved achievement at PN HQ with beer pong and other activities.

Party leader Bernard Grech could be seen partying with the students, commemorating their hard earned nights of study and patience throughout the COVID-19 outbreak. Students could be seen around a table playing beer pong, wearing masks and enjoying every moment of their graduation.

Graduations had to be put on hold due to the pandemic, with many expressing concerns as to whether or not they will get to celebrate. The ceremonies made a comeback with some alterations to the usual format. It might not be the same graduations we are all used to, but the Opposition Party does not seem one to let the students’ triumph pass.

From November 15 until 21, patrons of McDonald’s can give to charity via the MyMcDonald’s Rewards loyalty programme on the McDonald’s App or the RMHC website. That means that one can exchange their loyalty points to charity money to contribute to families in need. That’s why doing good is delicious! Donate to RMHC when ordering at an outlet or Donate your MyMcDonald’s Rewards through the app, with €1 for every 10 points donated.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Malta opened its first Learning Centre in Qawra to support children and their families facing challenges, learning difficulties and poverty. With help from various voluntary organisations, the centres provide ample facilities and resource to accomodate struggling families and aims to build a community within a community.

These efforts form part of McHappy Day week, an annual week of community-giving in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
