And as carnival weekend dawns upon us, the float is officially out on the road in all its glory.

‘While the capital city is resting ahead of the busy and festive Carnival days… King Carnival is walking down Valletta’s noble streets to find his place for tomorrow’s first day of Malta’s Carnival’, wrote Landa Carnival Crew.

Paul Curmi, a beloved Carnival figure, passed away at the age of 92 back in 2023. The local ‘King of Carnival’ was known as a familiar presence at the celebrations, bringing joy and smiles to all those who love carnival.

Taking to social media, Elise Darmanin shared a laidback video asking people on social media – particularly influencers – how they manage to do everything that they like.

‘By any chance, do you manage to eat enough protein everyday, walk 10,000 steps daily, go for training 3 to 4 times a week whilst eating a calorie-deficit diet and drink 2 litres of water everyday?’

Overthinking my 20s as usual 🥲 Forgot have a good skincare routine, batch prep meals for the week and always wake up with flawless hair 🫶

‘And at the same time’, she continued, ‘do you still earn your wage and save some of it so that you can one day buy your own place or open up a business? While also travelling to a few places before you die whilst also making sure you go out enough, that you have enough family time, and have a monthly date night with your significant other?’

‘If you do, please tell me how’, she asked rhetorically.

The video struck a nerve, with many commenting on its relatability and their own struggles on attempting to make it all work.

The video racked up 28.7K views on TikTok, with over 122 people responding to the video with their own bafflement as to why many people portray such an impossible lifestyle.
