“Killers should not be pardoned” – Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation

Following Reuters correspondent Stephen Grey’s recent revelation of the Degiorgio brothers asking for presidential pardon and immunity in order to reveal politicians’ involvement in a major crime, the Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation has issued a statement that “killers should not be pardoned.”

The foundation went on to state that killers should receive a punishment that fits their crime as they are ‘criminals who were willing to blow up her family with her to make sure she is killed’.

In a live video broadcasted to FaceBook, Opposition Leader Bernard Grech stated that these are dark times for Malta as further news comes out daily that sheds bad light onto the Labour Party. He stated that the shocking accusations are unprecedented regarding Ministers present in Robert Abela’s cabinet’s, as well as ex-Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

He continued to state that they are being implicated in the murder of late journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia and other serious heist attempts. These implications, according to Grech, continue to connect organised crime with Joseph Muscat and Robert Abela’s government. He concluded by stating that the ministers owe the nation an explanation, the situation cannot stay the same and that the institutions are not working as implicated by Abela.

Opposition MP Jason Azzopardi has stated that former Economy Minister Chris Cardona was arrested in connection with the 2010 failed HSBC heist. Azzopardi also pointed out that Joseph Muscat appointed him to cabinet despite having knowledge of the situation. When addressing parliament this afternoon, Azzopardi said that Chris Cardona was the first and only person to visit Joseph Muscat after his resignation in November of 2019.

Azzopardi referred to convicted murderer Vincent Muscat’s recent request for second pardon in return for naming of sitting minister in alleged failed 2010 heist. He proceeded to challenge Prime Minister Robert Abela to reveal when he last had contact with Adrian and Robert Agius, charged with the Caruana Galizia murder.

Education minister Justyne Caruana admitted to Mater Dei hospital with urgency

Sources have reported that Education Minister Justyne Caruana has been admitted to Mater Dei Hospital just a few moments ago.

Little has been revealed as to why the Minister has been admitted to Mater Dei and the Education Ministry has yet to issue a clarification on the situation as the story continues to develop.

The minister recently made the headlines following the controversy surrounding the €5000-monthly contract given to footballer Daniel Bogdanovic.
