Kevin Paul Calleja took the courages decision to perform an original song written by himself, which really paid off as both the judges and the crowd were blown off by his spectacular performance. This was also the first time that Kevin performed without his guitar during this competition, which surely showed Kevin’s versatility.

21-year old Shauna Vassallo is not a new face in X Factor Malta, as she had previously auditioned in the first ever season which saw her make it till the ‘Six Chair Challenge’. This year she’s more determined than ever to go further after she delivered a haunting rendition of ‘Blinding Lights’.

Ryan Hili opened X Factor Live Shows with a bang as he effortlessly performed “Impossible” by James Arthur. The X Factor judges had nothing but praise after his amazing performance, with Howard Keith stating that Hili is one of the few artists that makes him emotional with his performances.
Hili was born with no left hand, and felt discouraged to participate in earlier seasons of X Factor Malta due to his appearance. After getting a bionic arm, Ryan found the courage to audition and thank god he did as we’re loving his performances.

Malta’s national broadcaster, Public Broadcasting Services, will be putting a mandatory vaccination policy into place for anyone entering the premises as of Monday 17th January.
This news was shared with all relevant staff and stakeholders via email and will apply to all employees, freelancers, guests and anyone else entering the premises. The public broadcaster has stated that such a policy has been adopted to safeguard the health and safety of employees, their families and PBS visitors.
Similar policies will be put into place as of Monday, with the government calling for the presentation of valid vaccine certificates upon entry to bars, nightclubs, social clubs, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, casinos, organised events and other establishments.
A valid vaccine certificates are those registered by people who have completed their first vaccine cycle in the past three months or a booster dose in the past nine months.
Amongst others, chef and restaurateur Sean Gravina recently clarified on his position regarding the current vaccine rules, highlighting that it is unfair that restaurants must ask for valid vaccine certificates while supermarkets which are heavily populated every week do not have to.
