A boat party in the middle of a pandemic?

Feb 26 2021 Share

A video has been making the rounds on social media of a shocking amount of people engaged in a boat party on a commercial vessel last Saturday.

Newsbook.com.mt originally reported that the catamaran ‘Sea Bird’ was docked near Anchor Bay with around 25 people on board, with the video showing people dancing to loud music while the company responsible of the catamaran ‘Sea Adventure Excursions’ stated that it does not organise boat parties.

These kinds of events are in clear breach of COVID-19 mitigation measures, with boat parties being prohibited last August and it is of utmost importance that events such as this are avoided in order to prevent case reports similar to today’s record-high amount of 256 new cases.
