Kanye West accuses Kim Kardashian of “kidnapping” daughter amid divorce controversy

In the latest episode of relationship turmoil between the two media megastars, Kanye West has accused ex-wife Kim Kardashian of trying to “kidnap” daughter Chicago after failing to give Ye the address to her birthday party.

This follows Kardashian’s claims of West’s “constant attacks” of her on various interviews and social media, with West recently posting a screenshot captioned “SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIKTOK AGAINST MY WILL?”

Claiming to be the main provider and caregiver for the couple’s children, Kardashian stated that all she is doing is allowing four year old Chicago to express her creativity with adult supervision, with West disputing these claims, stating that he was escorted by security whilst playing with his son then accused of being on drugs at his daughter’s party.

Kanye concluded his statement by addressing Kardashian’s chief marketing officer Tracy Romulus and telling her to “stop manipulating Kim to be this way…”

Activists place ‘Government propaganda you paid for’ protest banners atop Malta Film Awards ads

A number of unknown activists took to the streets this weekend to place several yellow banners with a poignant message in the place of advertisements for last weekend’s Malta Film Awards.

Photos sent to Malta Daily show several protest banners which read ‘Government propaganda you paid for’ being erected in various spots across Malta, taking the place of the previously-set Malta Film Awards Banners. The grandiose yet controversial Malta Film Awards generated a fair amount of backlash and calls for further transparency on the event’s total spend.

As of yet, The Malta Film Commission has not revealed the total spend for Saturday night’s award ceremony, with Film commissioner Johann Grech saying that he will reveal “all numbers” following the awards. Matthew Caruana Galizia has since filed a Freedom of Information request to reveal the total amount spent on bringing UK personality David Walliams to host the ceremony.

Visitor information centre to be built at Buskett Gardens Entrance

Environment Minister Aaron Farrugia has announced the arrival of a new information centre for families and visitors of the Busket Gardens.

Ambjent Malta will start demolishing, construction and finishing the information centre, which will serve as a main hub of information regarding the Buskett Gardens as well as the flora and fauna found in this zone. The centre will be equipped with sanitary facilities, CCTV cameras and further security equipment. The Minister explained that during this time of year, Ambjent Malta works on various environmental aspects such as the pruning of trees, routine sanitation and more.

Ambjent Malta will also see to the installation of new signs which provide directions for visitors which are unfamiliar with the area, with the total cost of all works amounting to €244,000. Minister Farrugia highlighted the fact the further works will be done on the restoration of the Buskett Vaulted Grotto, which dates back to the Knights of St. John and sustained certain. structural damages over the years. The cost of such restoration will cost €323,000.

Siblings receive €50 fine after public argument on mother’s funeral in 2018

Two siblings have each been fined €50 after being found guilty of breaching public peace following an argument with their brother moments before their mother’s funeral.

The case happened in January of 2018 when the siblings broke into fisticuffs after arguing amongst themselves on who will read during their mother’s funeral at the Parish Church of Our Lady of Fatima in Gwardamanġa.

One of the siblings was taken to Mater Dei soon after sustaining injuries in his leg and ended up missing the mass and burial. The Malta Police Force has charged two of the siblings with injuring their brother and breaching public peace. Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit stated that there were two different versions of the story and found the two guilty of the aforementioned charges, dishing out the €50 fines.

Magistrate Stafrace Zammit condemned the three siblings for what took place, highlighting that the Court of Malta remarked the fact that all parties of the procedure let themselves be led by personal rivalry, spoiling their mother’s final goodbye.
