A funeral at the University of Malta was held this morning to celebrate the life and mourn the passing of 19-year-old Julian Spiteri. A law student at the University, Julian sadly passed away last Sunday after crashing a car into a tree along Triq Tal-Infetti near Saqqajja Hill.

The funeral was broadcasted live from Chaplaincy Uni, with the gathering itself being a limited but intimate and sombre attendance due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Tributes poured in for Julian, with Balluta Barracudas FC also joining an initiative to erect a plaque in his name.

Rest In Peace Julian.

It seems as though Marvel fans want one of their favourite superheroes to come back literally from the dead. Robert Downey Jr. and ‘genius, billionaire, philanthropist’ Tony Stark have almost become synonymous. But, having died in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, a billboard asking for the return of the hero has been put up in Los Angeles.

The billboard reads: ‘For our beloved hero, please; Bring Back Tony Stark’. It is unknown how many of the fanbase want to see the return of the suited hero, his story having come full circle by kicking off the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe and ending with Tony sacrificing his life to save it. What do you think? Should Tony Stark be brought back into action or should he stay dead?

A family has been indicted on federal charges for selling industrial bleach as a COVID-19 cure through their Florida-based church. 62-year-old Mark Grenon, who is the archbishop of the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing in Florida, has been selling chlorine dioxide as a cure for the pandemic along with his three sons. A federal grand jury in Miami returned an indictment on Thursday charging them with one count each of conspiracy to commit fraud. They face potential life sentences.

The bleach was sold as a ‘Miracle Mineral Solution’, with the Grenons claiming that it can cure not just COVID-19 but a slew of other illnesses such as cancer and malaria. The church had already been ordered to stop by a Miami federal judge last April, but the warning fell on deaf ears.
