Following many other Labour supporters, candidates and members, former Prime Minister and Labour leader Joseph Muscat has taken to social media to celebrate Labour’s third consecutive general election win.

Beyond a few campaign endorsements, Muscat remained relatively on the sidelines during this year’s election campaign. The former leader attended a number of Labour events to endorse candidates like Pieta mayor Keith Azzopardi Tanti as well as Chris Agius and Deo Debattista.

Musk has a net worth of around $263 billion, but the net worth of the Russian president has always been a bit of a mystery. Back in 2017, financier Bill Browder testified that he believes Putin to have accumulated $200 billion of ill-gotten gains.

He has also been linked to $1.4 billion palace on the Black Sea as well as a $4 million Monaco apartment. Considering his secluded the nature, Putin might just overcome Musk’s wealth.

Asked about the war, Elon said that it is surprising for him that in this day and age and he assumed that we moved beyond such things for the most part. ‘If you can get away with it, then this will be a message to other countries that perhaps they could get away with it too.’

Elon went on to say that the American government has done more than people may realise. ‘But it is important to do something serious. We cannot let Putin take over Ukraine. This is crazy.’

Musk proved to be extremely resourceful throughout the war as he rushed to Ukraine’s aid by deploying Starlink terminals so Ukrainians could access internet amid the invasion.

Franco Debono suggests return to politics; "I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves"
Mar 27 2022 Share

During a discussion panel broadcasted on Television Malta, lawyer and former politician Franco Debono hinted at a return to politics, stating that ‘he is not afraid to roll up his sleeves.’

In an opinion panel with statistician Vincent Marmara, lawyer & architect Robert Musumeci and a number of other guests, Debono addressed the recently-announced Labour victory and a number of shortcomings from both parties.

The criminal lawyers hint at another foray into politics is not the first one this year, publishing a cryptic Facebook post during the election campaign that ‘he is listening’ to the people’s comments and suggestions, with Bernard Grech himself saying that the door is always open to new people. On February 28, it was officially announced that Debono would not be contesting the 2022 election but the lawyer definitely has a renewed interest in local politics to say the least.

What do you make of these statements?
