Tottenham Hotspur coach Jose Mourinho has been sacked by the team just a week ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester City. Mourinho had replaced Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019, signing a deal until the end of the 2023 season. However, the club confirmed this Monday morning that Mourinho and his coaching staff had all ben ‘relieved of their duties’.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy stated that ‘Jose is a true professional who showed enormous resilience during the pandemic. On a personal level I have enjoyed working with him and regret that things have not worked out as we both had envisaged. He will always be welcome here and we should like to thank him and his coaching staff for their contribution.’

Bernard Grech calls for a change in attitude for current and future PN members

Bernard Grech calls for a change in attitude for current and future PN members

Opposition and PN leader Bernard Grech has called for a change in attitude for current and future PN members. Grech stated that faces should not be the first things to change, but it is instead a change towards a new attitude that is required. He added that the Nationalist Party is itself the point of change.

L-ewwel ma rridu nbiddlu hi l-attitudni – mhux biss l-uċuħ imma l-attitudni. Il-punt tat-tluq tal-bidla hu l-Partit…

Posted by Bernard Grech on Sunday, 18 April 2021

Grech stated that those who do not have the right attitude, whether youth or older, are not welcome in the PN party. The attitude that, according to Grech, the PN needs, is one of sincerity and humility. It is also an attitude that accepts not knowing, that does not think itself better than anyone else and that does not think that only it can govern a country.
