Japanese billionaire offering 8 people a trip to the moon

Mar 3 2021 Share

Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa has invited eight random people from around the globe to join him on a trip to the moon on Elon Musk’s SpaxeX. The voyage would be completely paid by Maezawa and his only requirements are that the individuals must want to push humanity forward and help the crew members do the same.

The voyage with the name dearMoon is scheduled for 2023. Maezawa explained on Twitter that the voyage would be a private one as he has already purchased the tickets aboard the spaceship. The plan initially involved artists, but Maezawa opened it up to all walks of life as anyone working on a creative endeavour should be deemed an artist.

Dolly Parton gets jab of vaccine she helped fund

Mar 3 2021 Share

75-year-old famous country music star Dolly Parton enthusiastically filmed herself getting the first dose of the vaccine she helped fund. Parton even adapts her famous song ‘Jolene’ into a pandemic related anthem, changing the title character’s name into ‘Vaccine’. Parton has funded the Moderna vaccine, for which she received immense praise.

Parton blended her humorous approach of getting the jab with the seriousness of the matter, stating she is both old and smart enough to get vaccinated. This is due to vaccine hesitancy being a major concern of the population, even though President Joe Biden has assured there will be enough vaccine for every adult in the country by end of May.
