Jamie Vardy sends message to LGBT+ fan group after post-goal mishap

Jamie Vardy has gifted a signed rainbow corner flag to Leicester City’s LGBT+ fan group ‘Foxes Pride’ after a mishap on the pitch.

After scoring a winning goal against Sheffield United, the Leicester City striker hit a celebratory sliding tackle into the rainbow corner flag, accidentally breaking it – potentially leading him to send the message of goodwill to the fan group.

Foxes Pride, said that they “are proud and grateful for the support that Vardy and Leicester City FC continue to show for Rainbow Laces, LGBT fans and Foxes Pride.”

79 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 79 recoveries

67 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 323 recoveries

Malta has registered 79 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 2,909 swab tests, while 79 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 18 cases were family members of previously known cases, 5 cases were contact of positive work colleagues and 3 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases.

To date, Malta has registered 10,778 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 8,720 have recovered, 160 died and 1,898 are still active.

Death toll rises to rises to 160 after three new COVID-19 deaths

The Health Authorities have reported three new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the death toll up to 160.

The first two cases are two men, aged 83 and 90 respectively, who tested positive on the 24th November and died yesterday at Mater Dei.

The third case is a 90-year-old woman who tested positive on the 23rd of November and died yesterday at Mater Dei.

Martina Caruana & Ivan J Bartolo to take on new roles in Nationalist Party

Former MP Ivan J Bartolo and lawyer Martina Caruana have taken on new roles in the Nationalist Party in what may be a sign of the times for the PN.

Bartolo had resigned as a Member of Parliament back in October to make way for Bernard Grech to lead the opposition and will no take on the post of ‘political reach president.’

Caruana had won the Queen’s Young Leader award in 2018 amongst other acclaims and will now take on the post of political research president.
