James Bond star will not leave inheritance to his children

James Bond star will not leave inheritance to his children
Aug 20 2021 Share

James Bond actor Daniel Craig has revealed that he will not leave his children substantial inheritance as he finds the practice distasteful. Craig, 53, has made millions from the Bond franchise, with the confirmation of his appearance in ‘Knives Out’ films confirming more cash into the actor’s pockets. With a three-year-old daughter and stepson with current wife Rachel Weisz and an adult daughter with ex-wife Fiona Loudon, the actor does not plan on leaving his kids a fortune.

He said that he will instead give the money away, quoting an old ‘piece of wisdom’ as to how dying a rich person means you’ve failed. He found the inheritance concept distasteful and thinks it is better to get rid of it or give it away before passing on. Craig will appear as 007 one last time in ‘No Time To Die’, which was delayed to 30th September due to the pandemic.

MFA listen to fans and clean seats ahead of new season

Aug 20 2021 Share

Recently, MFA have come under fire from fans on social-media for unsanitary condition of several seats in stadia. They have since responded, as earlier today they announced on their social media that they have been taking care of and cleaning the seats ahead of the new season and Malta’s game against Cyprus on the 1st of September.

Many followers congratulated the MFA for taking the constructive criticism on the chin and actually taking care of the problem. However ,some fans pointed out that a lot of work still needs to be done on the state of football in Malta. Swieqi United player Kane Micallef was one of those fans as his comment said ” Don’t mean to sound negative. Well done and well played! But shouldn’t we think more of players then spectators, as in why do the pitches still not get watered before matches to decrease the possibility of injuries while allowing players to play freely and more comfortably as passes and control is more manageable and attained. Can this be reviewed and possibly action can also be taken on this matter. P.S many of the surfaces are horrible in Malta leading to low performance and injuries. Also something to look at.”

Many other fans pointed out other problems, but we still have to give the MFA credit where it’s due whilst acknowledging that they have to do more for football to reach a certain standard.

X-factor goes completely paperless and will plant a tree for every 'YES'
Aug 20 2021 Share

X-Factor Malta Season 3 has gone completely paperless in a bid to help the environmental cause in Malta. Environment Minister Aaron Farrugia also announced that a tree will be planted for every ‘yes’ given to contestants during the audition phase. Visiting the X-Factor studios this morning, the Minister praised this initiative as it simultaneously reduces the cutting of trees but also continues to boost Malta’s greenery.

The Minister emphasised how this initiative also contributes to waste reduction, helping the government and Malta as a whole on international fronts in terms of environmentally aware measures. The initiative is a call to action for several entertainment and commercial entities to go paper-less and contribute mindfully and actively to environmental awareness and concerns.
