Taking to social media, local Iron Man athlete Fabio Spiteri revealed that Maruska Vella, the mother of the late Jake Vella, has donated her Mvintage Woman of the Year prize money to his Project 100, which seeks to help abandoned animals.

The prize, which racks up to €1000, will be going to a cause that her late son Jake cared deeply about – that of helping animals in need.

This comes as Spiteri, who had at one point urged for a big fundraiser similar to l-Istrina but for animals, fundraises for the last 2 days in the name of our pawed friends.

Emphasising critical teamwork and readiness for emergencies, each team had their own respective roles to play to prepare in the case of such a natural disaster.

Last Monday, Finance Minister Clyde Caruana announced during the budget that Malta will be enhancing its preparedness for such an emergency for natural disasters through the National Emergency Response Framework (NERFP).

This isn’t the first time the boxer was spotted jogging around Malta as he came to the island for a rigorous regime ahead of his highly anticipated rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

While Fury’s stay is all about prepping for his highly anticipated rematch with Usyk, he hasn’t let his intense schedule get in the way of enjoying Malta’s sunny vibes and delicacies.

He was spotted a while ago at Mellieha restaurant one80 kitchen for a little downtime, with the team sharing a snapshot of the champion.
