Jake Paul calls for rematch after losing fight against Tommy Fury
Feb 27 2023 Share

Following a split decision which cost him his fight against Tommy Fury, Jake Paul has issued a call for a rematch when speaking in an interview post-fight.

The 26-year-old boxer, who rose to popularity as a YouTuber, said: ‘All respect to Tommy. He won, judge me by my wins judge me by my losses.’

‘I don’t know if I agree with the judges. It is what it is but that is the boxing world. I have won in every single way already in life. I have made it further than I ever would’ve thought.’

He went on to say that, despite getting really sick twice and injuring his arm, he won’t make any excuses. ‘It was just tough in this camp. 100% let’s run it back.’

The match, which came after years of anticipation, was hosted in Saudi Arabia after the pair were scheduled to fight in December 2021 until Fury opted out due to an injury. It was then rescheduled for 2022 but Fury was unable to get to the USA.

As the two came together at press events, Paul even apologised for leaking the information of the birth of Fury’s daughter, giving her a little gift in the meantime.
