Isabelle Bonnici has won the Remarkable Woman award at the Premju Mara event, organised by Dr Lydia Abela to honour women in Maltese society who have made a difference in others’ lives and created a positive impact.
The award ceremony was particularly significant as it took place on the eve of International Women’s Day, celebrating the contributions of exceptional women.
Alongside Isabelle Bonnici, several other women were recognised for their remarkable efforts. Maria Formosa received the People’s Choice award for dedicating her life to supporting her husband, Bjorn Formosa, and assisting others suffering from ALS. Her unwavering commitment to raising awareness and helping those in need has made a profound impact.
Another notable recipient was Nancy Scerri, who was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award. A Gozitan woman with a long history of service, Scerri has helped countless individuals over the years through her work alongside Monsignor Victor Grech and Caritas Malta.
The event highlighted the invaluable role of women in society, recognising their dedication, resilience, and contributions to the well-being of others.
