Amidst a crowd of 75,000 at a cold and rainy San Siro, Inter’s “away” supporters erupted in cheers as Francesco Acerbi and Marcus Thuram netted the crucial goals that sealed the championship.
Despite a late goal from Milan’s Fikayo Tomori, Inter held firm to initiate an exuberant celebration throughout the city.
Inter’s accomplishment also makes them the second team in Italy to achieve 20 league titles, with Juventus leading at 36. Simone Inzaghi, celebrating his first league title as a manager, led Inter to dominance throughout the season, particularly highlighted by their victory in the Milan derby.
