It seems as though the Maltese islands will be basking in an intensely hot sun this summer. A North African anticyclone has dominated the Mediterranean, boosting up the number of days which will have a maximum temperature above 35°C.
If all that heat is not your thing, a comparatively cooler pool of air is predicted to settle over the Libyan Sea. This could lead to some unusual weather instability especially across the central Mediterranean, putting Malta front and centre. The confidence in this forecast is set at 60%, meaning it is a moderate prediction.
Are you exciting for this summer’s heat, or are you already counting the days before the next winter?
