Local restaurant ‘Il-Barri’ shared a photo of the newly elected Pope Leo XIV dining there during the Plenary Meeting of the Presidents of the European Bishop’s Conference.

Sitting next to Archbishop Charles Scicluna, the new Pope, born Robert Francis Prevost, was in Malta in 2023 for the important conference.

‘May the Lord grant him wisdom, strength, and peace as he leads our Church with faith and love’, the Mgarr based restaurant wrote in the photo description.
