Mifsud, a former Coventry City FC player, gained fame for his two-goal performance against Manchester United in a Carling Cup match at Old Trafford all the way back in 2007.

Despite the match ending in a 3-3 stalemate, Manchester United still emerged victorious with a 4-2 score through penalties.

Manchester kicked off the game with a Scott McTominay goal in the 23’, but Coventry surprised their opponents with goals in the second half.

Many called for the owners to be fined, with others exclaiming that such irresponsibility is why many public areas prohibit dogs.

It is unclear whether the situation was addressed by relevant authorities.

This year’s parade was slightly different however as over 7,000 scouts and guides paid tribute to the late Leanne Schembri, who passed away this week.

The scouts and guides made sure to honour Leanne, whose love for the Beaver Section and the 1st Rabat Scout Group was known by many.

The parade was welcomed by Malta’s new president Myriam Spiteri Debono, as well as Minister for Inclusion and Voluntary Work Julia Farrugia Portelli.
