Singer Miriana Conte recently shared how the comments made about her during the Eurovision Song Contest affected her in a positive way, boosting her determination. In an interview with Dorianne Mamo on TVAM, the 24-year-old expressed that, despite the harsh remarks, she emerged with greater grit and confidence, ready for future challenges.

Conte, who was involved in a traffic accident shortly after winning Eurovision, assured the public that she is fine and urged caution while driving. Reflecting on her win, she explained that although she believed in her song “Kant,” she didn’t expect victory. It was one of her dancers who first informed her of her win when he saw the scores on screen.

Backstage, Conte’s immediate reaction was to take a moment for herself, removing her shoes and requesting some quiet time. As she prepares for the Eurovision final in June, she is mentally ready and excited to represent Malta on the international stage.

Pembroke Nursery Protest to Save Football Training Ground

Feb 10 2025 Share

Parents of young players in the Pembroke Nursery have come together to protest against plans that could see their children lose their training ground and opportunity to play football.

In a statement, they expressed their disappointment, saying, “The head coach, nursery, and coaching staff have worked tirelessly to build a family at Pembroke, not just another football club.”

They stressed that the decision should not be based solely on financial gain but on what is best for the children. While acknowledging that padel may be a more profitable option, they urged Pembroke Athleta Sports Club President, Alex Calleja, to reconsider, emphasising that the nursery provides more than just training—it fosters love, passion, friendships, and lasting memories.

The parents have also launched a petition, which has already gathered over 600 signatures, as they continue their fight to protect their children’s sporting future.
