Following a number of performances from local artists such as Glen Vella, Brooke, Cheryl Balzan, DJ Ziggy and a number of others, Labour Party Deputy Leader and Chris Fearne took to the stage to address the Labour event ‘Together in Concert’.
Speaking at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali, Fearne echoed his statements during the recent general meeting to approve the Labour Party’s manifesto, Fearne stated that despite contesting the party leadership against current leader Abela, the Prime Minister found him by his side from the very moment he was elected. The deputy leader went on to state that while some are capable of publishing proposals on paper, others are capable of making them a reality and competence is confirmed by facts.
He went on to ask supporters whether the Labour Party was competent in leading Malta throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, calling it the ‘the toughest time’ during Labour’s 9 years of government, to roaring applause.
Concluding on a personal note, Fearne stated that Malta was amongst the first countries globally to open its doors to Ukrainian patients, going on to say that he is proud that Malta welcomed a 6-year-old girl for cancer treatment at the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre.
