Iconic Ta’ Rita restaurant to be converted into larger guest house

Planning case officer has approved the change of Għar Lapsi restaurant Ta’ Rita into a slightly larger guest house. The Planning Board will confirm decision of 4 March.

The restaurant with historical presence will have a first floor level, an underground parking, hall and marine leisure shop, making it relatively bulkier.

Cultural Heritage objected to the mass increase of the building, but the case officer claims this will be a modernisation of the building which will not affect the environmental and visual aspect of the surroundings.
