Footage shared by Bradley Farrugia shows the iconic tradition of the Luqa festa called ‘Il-Marċ Tal-Anġlu’, wherein the statue of an angel is carried up a platform sideways by festa enthusiasts.

The footage shows the moment enthusiasts and members of the Sezzjoni Zgħazagħ Ajklieri u Partitarji push up the heavy statue all the way up to the peak of the platform, before turning back to the crowd to continue with the celebrations iconic to the Maltese feasts.

Two Divers Die After Finding Difficulty In Marsaskala

Yesterday, at around 1230hrs, police were informed that earlier during the day, at around 1030hrs, the assistance of the Armed Forces of Malta was requested due to some divers who found difficulty.

Preliminary investigations revealed that two male divers, whose identities was not known at that point, were rescued by the AFM via boat approximately 1.4 nautical miles off the coast of Żonqor, Marsaskala.

They were transported to Mater Dei Hospital for further aid, but one of the divers unfortunately lost his life a few moments later.

The other diver continued to fight for his life, but he was later confirmed to have died throughout the night.

It was also revealed that the men were both Polish and were aged 45 and 48 respectively.

A magisterial inquiry has been opened and police investigations are ongoing.

We’re getting closer and closer to the final match of UEFA EURO 2024.

Yesterdays aw England move over Switzerland into the semifinals after a penalty shoot out due to a 1-1 stalemate.

Afterwards, the Netherlands managed to push past Türkiye with two goals over their rivals’ one.

This means that the aforementioned winners will be facing each other on Wednesday 10th July and will be vying for their spot in the final.

Before that match however, we will see Spain take on France on Tuesday 9th July, following a spectacular brush into the next round by Spain after an intense game against Germany.

Second Euros Semi Final To Be Completed Today

The second Euros semi-final will be completed today, with the winners of the quarter-final ties between Netherlands and Turkey and England and Switzerland set to face each other.

The matchday will kick off at 18:00 with England facing dark horses Switzerland in Dusseldorf in front of what will surely be a packed stadium, with both nations dreaming of their first ever Euros title.

The final quarter-final will be between Netherlands and Turkey and will be played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, the stadium where the eventual final will be taking place.

The first semi-final was completed last night, with France beating Portugal on penalties and Spain narrowly beating host nations Germany to book their places in the final four.
