Gozo’s Magistrate Court has liberated PN Ex-Ministers’ Giovanna Debono husband from all accusations he faced a number of years ago. The sentence drops all claims pushed by Labour Party which attempted to rubbish Giovanna Debono and her family. The Magistrate also scolded the police, claiming they could have investigated the case better in order to avoid Mr. Debono, for whom Joe Giglio appeared as judge, having to be taken up to court.

Multiple sources have suggested that today’s COVID-19 case report may reveal another relatively low number of new cases with significantly high recoveries.

Yesterday, the Health Ministry’s ‘Saħħa’ page reported 90 new cases, which was the first time that Malta registered a two-digit figure of overnight cases since 5th February 2021.

In a conference addressed by Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne from Parliament, he stated that while the public must remain cautious, things are looking considerably good, with one out of every four adults having received the first vaccine dose.

World Cup 2022 match between Malta and Russia at Ta’ Qali
Mar 24 2021 Share

Malta will make the 2022 World Cup debut by facing the Russian team at Ta’ Qali this evening, 24th March 2021. Malta had an impressive run in the UEFA Nations League, but according to national coach Devis Mangia, the situation in the qualifiers will be completely different. Mangia stated this during the pre-match press conference, exclaiming that the team is ‘starting a new competition’, a completely new experience.

The Maltese coach acknowledged Russia’s capability and that the team is unlikely to enjoy the same amount of possession as in the UEFA matches. Despite this, he stressed the importance of possession. Malta will face Slovakia after Russia, and then Croatia, with both matches away from home.
