Human remains found in Kent confirmed to be Sarah Everard

Following previous reports that human remains were found in a Kent woodland as Metropolitan Police investigated the disappearance of Sarah Everard, it has been confirmed by the police that the remains were in fact Everard’s.

Everard was described by many as a ‘shining example’ of a ‘kind and strong’ individual while her family went on to call for any information the public may have to be passed on to the police.

A police officer is currently in custody over suspicion of Everard’s kidnapping and murder.

2,000 meals in one week delivered by Rafel Sammut & Victory Kitchen team

Earlier today, local chef and good guy extraordinaire Rafel Sammut took to social media to share that his ‘Victory Kitchen’ project provided close to two thousand meals this week only and revealed that he will step up production as of next week.

Sammut took the opportunity to thank the people who contributed to the cause, reporting that donations flooded in this week.

In another video, the chef shared a video of the team preparing a whopping 1,000 meals and encouraged followers to keep their eye on the Happy Initiative, which he called a ‘young, dynamic team with great ideas’.

Luke Chappell hits huge milestone with 3 million streams on ‘Lonely Again’

Local singer-songwriter Luke Chappell has made himself known for his soulful serenades and stellar songwriting and he has further solidified his reputation as his track ‘Lonely Again’ has just hit 3 million streams on Spotify.

The track, which Chappell had signed with Los Angeles based label ‘Bangers Only’ was released back in 2020 and won the hearts of his followers, both local and international and established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the music scene.

Big congratulations go out to Luke Chappell for the steps he’s been making in his career, here’s to the next three million.

Churches to remain open for worship with maximum of 100 people

The Maltese Archdiocese has published its list of COVID-19 going forward, following the government’s closure of most establishments and facilities across Malta and Gozo, which directives will allow churches to remain open for worship ceremonies with a potential maximum of 100 attendees, depending on the size of the area.

The directives go on to highlight that mass and religious ceremonies will not be held except for funerals which will the COVID-19 protocol as well as small, measure-compliant weddings.

The Archdiocese is also encouraging the postponement of baptisms to after the 11th of April, with those choosing not to postpone being restricted solely to the baptism ritual, without mass and little attendees.
