Hugo’s Group boss hints at international expansion for Hugo’s Burger Bar

Hugo’s Burger Bar, one of Malta’s leading fast food establishments may have big plans for the future as CEO and Managing Director Luke Chetcuti hints at monumental growth for the company.

In an Instagram story posted on Monday, Chetcuti hinted at BIG potential future plans by posting a promo for Hugo’s Burger Bar South, omitting the ‘South’ and adding a global emoji, hinting at the company’s international expansion.

Hugo’s Burger Bar has grown exponentially in the past years and is one of the island’s favourite dining spots so entering the global market does not only mean good news for Hugo’s, but good news for wherever they may be going.

Malta registers below-80 overnight cases for the first time since December

In today’s COVID-19 update issued by the Ministry of Health’s Facebook page, Malta registered 79 new COVID-19 cases and 144 new recoveries, bring the total active cases down to 2,545.

This is the first time that Malta registered below 80 cases, with the last instance being back in 25 December where Malta registered 50 new cases and 124 recoveries.

The total number of active cases on 25 December was 1,362.

Malta has registered 79 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 2,944 swab tests, while 144 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

As of Wednesday 3rd February 2021, 31,633 vaccine doses were administered of which 5,410 were 2nd doses.

To date, Malta has registered 18,385 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 15,567 have recovered, 273 died and 2,545 are still active.
