Team Maximum Lock, Malta’s premier precision driving team, has been captivating audiences worldwide with their thrilling stunt performances.

Recently, they showcased their incredible skills at prestigious events, including the Guernsey Motor Festival, The British Motor Show, and BugJam, performing in front of over 150,000 spectators.

Their shows, featuring the iconic Nissan Skylines and 350Zs, deliver high-adrenaline, tyre-smoking action that leaves crowds on the edge of their seats.

This Maltese team, composed of drivers Clint Abela, Mark Galea, and Christian Bezzina, has become a standout name in Europe’s precision driving scene.

Performing 21 shows over just four weeks, they shared the stage with world-renowned stunt driver Paul Swift and popular YouTuber Mark McCann, further cementing their reputation as a leading act in the stunt driving world.

Ian Borg and Alex Agius Saliba have both announced their candidacies for key leadership positions within the Labour Party.

Ian Borg will be running for Deputy Leader for Parliamentary Affairs, while Alex Agius Saliba is contesting the position of Deputy Leader for Party Affairs.

Ian Borg, supported by Labour MPs, activists, and his family, aims to strengthen Labour’s values and consolidate the Labour Government. His decision follows Prime Minister Robert Abela’s call for party unity, and Borg has consulted with Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne, acknowledging his contributions over the years.

With over 11 years of Cabinet experience, Borg has been a central figure in Malta’s major infrastructure projects and international diplomacy. He has represented Malta on the United Nations Security Council, securing key agreements, particularly on issues like the Middle East and Ukraine.

Currently serving as Chairperson of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Borg is focused on peace, unity, and sustainable development.

Alex Agius Saliba, a dedicated Labour activist since the age of 15 and a current MEP has been deeply involved in the Party’s structures.

He is stepping forward to strengthen the Labour Party by fostering enthusiasm and collaboration among activists and volunteers. Agius Saliba is committed to ensuring the Party remains a powerful political force in Malta, driven by love, work, and dedication to the country.

Luke intended to capture the moonrise over the same church, but was instead gifted with an ‘unexpected, breathtaking sunset.’

2 Persons Injured In Birżebbuġa Traffic Accident

Yesterday, at around 1815hrs, police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq Ħal Far, Birżebbuġa.

Police convened immediately on site and found that an accident between a Toyota Aygo X driven by a 34 year old woman from SIġġiewi and a Ford Transit van driven by a 22 year old Greek man resident of Wied il-Għajn had taken place.

A 56 year old woman resident of Birgu was also riding passenger in the Toyota vehicle.

The two women were given medical aid and transported to Mater Dei Hospital. Later on, the passenger was certified as having suffered light injuries whereas the driver was certified to have suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
