High COVID-19 case numbers expected again today

Mar 2 2021 Share

Following the recent record-high COVID-19 case report on Sunday 28th February with 263 cases and another 175 overnight cases on 1st March, inside sources have suggested that today’s report could hit another high.

Malta has recently experienced a string of record-high case reports following the entry of virus variants in Malta and influx of illicit events and group gatherings during the carnival period.

Authorities have yet to report further measures or clarify whether or not they have amended their stance on a potential lockdown for Malta. It is therefore of utmost importance that the public adheres to the health authorities’ measures and protocol to mitigate the spread of the virus.
