We asked you, our esteemed followers, what Miriana Conte should say given that the Eurovision Broadcasting Union banned the word ‘Kant’ due to its similarity to its word ‘c*nt’.

And, well, you got creative.

One suggested we should say ‘serving toast’ given Mr Sofrito’s ongoing popularity. Another said ‘serving Duda rose’, a nod to Big Brother’s dog contestant.

Another said ‘serving what’ – our exact expression when we found out we couldn’t say ‘Kant.’

Other prominent suggestions were ‘serving conte’ (which is Miriana’s surname), ‘serving chant’, ‘serving love’ or ‘serving hunt’.

This comes as people contemplate what the Eurovision team should do to tackle the ban.

Some suggested changing the word entirely or changing the other word ‘serving’, whereas others encouraged the team not to change anything at all and fight the ban.

We also asked our followers whether Malta should change its Eurovision Song Contest song after the Eurovision Broadcasting Union banned the word ‘KANT’ from usage.

29% (593) of our followers who responded said that Malta should change the song, as opposed to 71% (1,474) who voted against changing the song.

Malta is also currently brimming with suggestions as to what we can use instead of the word KANT.

Peppi Azzopardi had suggested ‘Serving AUNT’, whereas Arnold Cassola suggested ‘Manwel Kant’.
