Here's How Malta Could Look Like In 2070

malta.ai have taken us back to the future with their latest post, depicting Malta as it could possibly look like in the year 2070.

With high tech pods and train railways zooming across the antique scenery of traditional Maltese buildings, preserved as they were.

The artificial intelligence generated images show a Malta many of us would very much like to see – with construction, aesthetics, transport and nature all balanced out rather well.

A train also drives through the alleyways of old local cities as long platforms and bridges edge out into the many harbours on our shores.

Would this be a Malta you’d like to live in?

First Flying Car Approved For Road Testing In US

First Flying Car Approved For Road Testing In US
Jul 3 2023 Share

The world’s first flying  car has officially been cleared for road testing in the US.

Alex Aeronautics revealed that it is the first company to receive a Special Airworthiness Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to see whether it would be viable on roads – and in the air.

The vehicle will still need to meet the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration safety standards before becoming mainstream, but the company’s CEO, Jim Dukhovny, is hopeful this is the first step.

The car is also being placed for pre-order and will reportedly sell for about $300,000.

Carrying up to two passengers, the flying car is 100% electric and possessing vertical takeoff and landing capabilities. It won’t go faster than about 25 miles per hour and it has a flight range of 110 miles.

This comes after around 4 years of testing and, if successful, will bring something we normally see in science fiction straight to our roads.

This would undoubtedly revolutionise travel as we know it, but we cannot help but wonder how such a vehicle would fare on Maltese roads were it come to fruition. With increasing road accidents and fatalities, would this new transport mode fly (literally) in Malta?
