As Malta’s active COVID-19 cases continue to drop while the island continues its vaccination roll-out, a number of restrictions are being eased week by week as we remain hopeful in our journey towards normality. In line with the previously-established easing of measures, here are the COVID-19 restrictions that will be eased as of today:

  1. Restaurants can now stay open until midnight

  2. Gyms can now re-open

  3. Pools can also re-open until 8pm without activities

  4. Training for contact sports will resume for those aged 17 and over

  5. Day centres can also re-open

The next easing of restrictions will happen next Monday 1st June, which will welcome the reopening of Malta’s tourism scene and the restart of seated weddings, amongst other measures.
