Despite the still rampant heat all across the Maltese islands, it seems as if the first signs of it dimming down are already among us given the forecasts for this upcoming week.

According to various weather reports, the first few days of this week, starting Monday 28th August, are set to bring strong winds. This was confirmed by the Malta International Airport’s weather forecast’s release of a wind warning, stating that:

The northwesterly wind will be strong, at times locally very strong over the exposed areas of the Maltese islands.

Further down the line, a rainy forecast is being predicted for Thursday 31st August, to finish off the month with an arguably very much needed weatherly refreshment.

However, this doesn’t mean that there’s no more sun and heat for the rest of the upcoming weeks ahead. According to weather page ‘Aġġornament tat-temp’, there are still plenty of scorching temperatures awaiting us before we fully abandon our summer vibes.

The video comes as many raise concerns over the state of Maltese roads when it comes to not just traffic accidents and reckless driving, but lack of enforcement in general.

What do you make of this?

Another Dog Killed Due To Pet Sitter Recklessness

Another Dog Killed Due To Pet Sitter Recklessness

An unfortunate turn of events after a German shepherd named Kim was found dead in Gharb.

The Association for Abandoned Animals took to social media to announce that Kim, a ‘much loved family member’ had been found ‘at the bottom of a steep part in Gharb.’

The NGO stated that the ‘so-called pet sitter used to let them run free’ in this area despite the hazardous terrain – ‘a whole pack of dogs running near the edges of a cliff.’

‘The news is not a surprise – there were no sightings and even a reward was offered. If this is not a wake-up call for the ministry to introduce laws and regulations, then we do not know what is.’

The association wished the sincerest condolences to the family who owned Kim, as many re-shared and commented on the post calling for more accountability and regulatory enforcement.
