Hamrun Spartans receive hero’s welcome at airport following historic win

Following their massive historic achievement yesterday to qualify for the next Europa Conference League round, Hamrun Spartans received an absolute hero’s welcome at the Malta International Airport.
The players were greeted by the rest of their supporters as, playing away from home, the Spartans could only get a handful of cheering fans to the official match.The Spartans beat Nevski Sofia by overturning a 1-0 defeat and becoming the first ever Maltese representative to qualify to the play-off round of a UEFA club competition.
Their success will now see them take on Serbian giants FK Partizan.
