Hamrun Spartans’ Premier League victory to be decided by MFA later today

As COVID-19 restrictions remain the same with regards to organised sports in Malta, the Malta Football Authority will determine whether or not Hamrun Spartans will be crowned champions later today.

The Premier League faced a premature end last season leaving Floriana F.C. season champions and after this year’s statute changes, the executive committee will confirm if the 75% of matches played will determine this year’s winners and relegated teams, where the Spartans may emerge champions.

On Monday, MFA President Bjorn Vassallo stated that Malta is the only country where sport has completely halted and damaged the livelihood of players and technical staff across the island.

The nation has collectively united behind Brazilian Marsa FC player Patrick Maia after his son Luca was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer.

The football player expressed his gratitude towards the Maltese people on social media as donations poured in following his post and help from family and colleagues.

ClubHouse Europe Owner Zak Grech Fenech apologises for attending illegal party

After an illegal private party was made publicly known on social media, ClubHouse Europe Owner Zak Grech Fenech apologised on Instagram for attending. He stated that he understands the severity of the situation and that authorities have confirmed the location was not ClubHouse Europe. He also asked for people not to mix up his business and personal life together.

ClubHouse Europe confirmed that it asked police to investigate the premises to confirm that the party was not held there. João Coronel, ClubHouse Europe member also apologised and stated that he was simply invited by his manager to the party but apologises for his actions.
